PM Vishwakarma Yojana

Overview

PM Vishwakarma supports artisans and craftspeople who work with their hands and tools across 18 traditional trades.

Beneficiaries receive recognition through a certificate and ID card, skill upgradation and financial support.

The scheme also promotes digital transactions and market linkage for artisan products.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Artisans and craftspeople engaged in one of the 18 notified trades such as carpenter, blacksmith, potter, tailor and goldsmith.
  • Applicant must be at least 18 years old and self-employed on an unorganised basis.
  • One member per family is eligible, and the applicant should not have availed similar credit-based government schemes recently.

How to Apply

  1. 1Visit a Common Service Centre (CSC) with your Aadhaar and bank details.
  2. 2Complete biometric registration and verification at the Gram Panchayat / ULB level.
  3. 3Once verified, download your PM Vishwakarma certificate and ID card.
  4. 4Enrol for skill training and apply for the toolkit incentive and credit support.
